april, may, june and then july

"It isn't simply the catharsis of a few stolen minutes amidst nature that the camera is providing. There is so much more being expressed through his photographs."

Photography is as much about the emotions of the photographer as it is the subjects being captured. In April, May, June and July of 2015 visiting a local woodland, creating images and keeping a journal enabled me to both process and express the emotions I was experiencing as my father battled with cancer.

This book is a true and unflinching record of that time. I hope that it may help others who find themselves in a similar position to make some sense of the emotional turmoil they are experiencing and to feel that they are not alone.

I'm raising money for Cancer Research UK so that one day we can beat cancer and replace fear with hope. You can download the book as a digital pdf for £9. Every penny received will go to Cancer Research UK.

The book is 96 pages in total with 40 images and includes a foreword from both celebrated landscape photographer Doug Chinnery and Cancer Research UK.
